About CCIS-JRH
The Cebu Center for Ignatian Spirituality- Jesuit Retreat House (CCIS-JRH) in Banawa Hills, Cebu City, Philippines is a historical gem that traces its roots back to the post-World War II period when the Jesuits established Berchman’s College in Cebu. Over the years, the retreat house has been a sanctuary for students, clergy, and lay people seeking spiritual retreats and guidance.
The retreat house recently unveiled a new 5-story annex named Holy Name of Jesus, equipped with modern facilities and chapels, symbolizing a new chapter in its journey. Despite facing challenges like a damaging typhoon, CCIS-JRH remains steadfast in its commitment to providing spiritual solace and support to the community. The property’s resilience and dedication to its mission make it a beacon of tranquility and reflection in Visayas region.
As CCIS-JRH continues to evolve and grow with its commitment to offer a sacred place of peace and quiet, in light of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, to facilitate an encounter with God that leads to a willing and loving service of the least of our brothers and sisters.
